As a small business, on-time payments are critical to your cash flow. Unfortunately, they aren’t always received. This could put your small business at risk. Even the slightest adjustment can cause major challenges.
When payments become late, you have to put in even more work to chase those payments. That includes emails and phone calls. Late payments really cost you more than you think.

In the realm of social media, there’s what you earn based on the content posted and the conversations you engage in. Then there’s what you pay for via social media ads.

Obviously, social media platforms want you to use paid ads. It’s how they make their money after all (topping over £30 billion globally in 2017).

While social media ads will inflate your numbers and make your reach and impressions seem sky high, that doesn’t always translate to leads or conversions.

Paid ads give you a short-term boost; organic is for the long-term. It’s what builds communities.

Paid Can’t Build Communities

So, with such a focus on paid, does organic even matter anymore?

It absolutely does...................

Having recently been the target of an internet troll, I thought I would put together a few thoughts and pointers that would hopefully go some way to helping those, who maybe looking at the problem with much more concern than they really should.

Let’s start by turning a negative in to a positive, this is step one!

First and foremost, please ignore them! No two ways about this! Trolls want attention, they want a reaction and to know that they have bothered you. Well I would as a reputable business and person, everyone who knows you will really know you and your integrity. Your contacts will just ignore silly comments a troll wishes to make and know they are meaningless!

Chances are your network will have been built up over a period of time and along the way you build lasting and sustainable relationships with real people. Additionally, a proportion of your network will have had to deal with such stupidity in one form or another at some point and as in my case will even offer kind words of support.

To start a new business is often to follow a passion but the sudden reality can be that passion must take a back seat when the realities of running a business hit home.
One of the challenges that occurs is business admin – and what soon follows is the need to reduce admin to remain productive.

According to a report we carried out on business admin and how it affects firms, we found smaller businesses in the UK estimate they spend 71 days undertaking administration tasks. That’s more than 14 working weeks, or around three months.
The administrative tasks your Hull or East Yorkshire business must perform sometimes turn into time warps.

What you thought you could accomplish in a few minutes ends up taking hours.

While you are bogged down with paperwork, you can’t focus on your core business, much less strategise on how to grow and innovate.
